Tracey & Fox Attorney Honored For Contributions To College Center

Attorney Sean Tracey of the respected personal injury firm Tracey & Fox and his wife Kari have been honored for their support of the William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies at the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

The couple was honored “for their contributions to the Center, the University and the Houston community” during the center’s annual “Irish Gala,” held on November 2nd at the Houstonian Hotel.

"The Irish story, in some great part, is the American story,” said Sean Tracey. "I love the Center for Irish Studies, and Kari and I have supported the institute for a long time. We're very honored."

Tracey graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 1988, and currently serves on the advisory board of the William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies.

More than 400 people attended the event, including Daniel Mulhall, the Ambassador of Ireland to the United States. Mr. Mulhall gave a presentation at the event, which was chaired by Charlene and John O’Shea.

The center reported that the event raised more than $353,000, including $66,000 in scholarships and other support for the 2019 Ireland study abroad program and other programs.

The mission of the center is “to preserve Irish heritage and culture, promote peace and reconciliation, and serve as a premier Center for Irish and Irish American Studies.”
